Services

  • I offer counseling for adolescent girls (ages 13 and up) and women (ages 18 and up).

I offer consultation regarding counseling related issues for anyone insterested in getting a second opinion on counseling related matters- such as pastors, church leaders, nonprofits, family members and parents.

  • As God’s word speaks to all of life’s issues, I am able to offer counseling for a wide array of struggles.

I regularly counsel women and teens in the areas of emotional concerns (anxiety, fear, depression, anger, grief, guilt, shame), behavioral concerns (suicidal thinking, self harm, disordered eating, pornography use), relational concerns (family of origin issues, experiences of abuse or trauma, difficulty in marriage), spiritual concerns, and responding to the various pains and sufferings of this life.

  • In general, counseling with me includes two main phases.

Phase 1- Getting to know you and understanding together First, I want to take time to listen to you, get to know you and understand your concerns. We will seek to understand how God’s word describes and clarifies the nature of your struggle or concern.

Phase 2- Engaging a growth process Second, once we have used biblical categories to understand and bring clarity to your struggle, we will consider together how God’s word speaks into your struggle. I will help you identify God’s process of growth for you and will support you in walking out that growth. I will provide you with personalized coaching, direction and homework exercises to engage in between sessions. Your growth process will include not only what happens within our sessions but also what God does in you between our sessions!

“I thank the Lord often for the way He used Laura’s ministry in my life. It has been about 18 months since my last session with Laura, and I continue to implement the principles and specific scriptures we walked through at least once a week.

As a result of Laura’s intentional, prayerful preparation and our deeply impactful time spent together, the feelings of dread that awoke me and intense spikes of anxiety are no longer a regular part of my life. All glory to God!”

Rates

  • My rates are $150 for a 60 minute session and $195 for a 80 minute session.

As you consider the cost of counseling, I encourage you to consider that this is an investment that has the potential to produce long-term transformation and change in a multitude of areas in your life. My counselees often share with me that the truths, principles and skills they learn in counseling apply to many areas of their lives and that they use what they learn in counseling long after they finish counseling.

“When you see Laura, she will want to equip you with tools to overcome things you want to work on. Laura is a counselor who is very rare to come by; she is genuine in wanting you not to be dependent on her.

She is humble and one of the nicest people you will meet. She doesn’t judge you and is someone who follows Christ. Laura provided me what I needed to hear- truth but it was delivered in Christ’s love.

I implore anyone to begin counseling with Laura. She is someone who sincerely wants the best for you. ”
